| OTECO Piston
Rod Packing is manufactured from top
quality rubber formulations promoting
longer Piston Rod life and performance. |

Performance |
|
When sealed,
the outer diameter lip of
OTECO Packing Rings act
as a seal against
lubricating fluid leaks.
This sealing action also
reduces contamination of
the piston rod's
lubrication from drilling
mud. |

With
adequate lubricating
fluid in place, heat and
friction are reduced
substantially. |
|
Adjustments
to the tightening and
pressure on OTECO packing
can be made to meet rod
wear requirements. Only a
small amount of pressure
is required to seal on
the rod. |

Components |

A series of
packing rings with
interlocking cuts for
controlling piston rod
pressure and providing
easy alignment of the
rings. |

A
synthetic rubber wiping
ring acts as a wiper
preventing sand from
working back into the
spacing ring. The wiping
ring is easily installed
and removed by its
special square-cut lock. |

A
straight cut plastic
spacer ring with pins for
quick alignment. |

Piston Rod Packing reduces stuffing box
wear and washout. |

| OTECO offers a full range of
clamps for mating the piston rod
to the crosshead extension (pony)
rod. Machining tolerances are
tightly held to assure proper fit
and alignment of the adjoining
components. OTECO clamps are
furnished complete with all
required hardware. |
